Fun Facts

Music has been a part of Donna Norton’s life since birth.  Born into a pastor’s home, the church has had great influence in developing her gift.  Throughout her education, Donna found ways to share her love of music.  During her years at Trevecca Nazarene University, Donna enjoyed being a member of “New Direction,” a public relations group that ministered to numerous churches and youth camps in the southeastern region.

   Today, Donna makes her home in Valdosta, Georgia with her husband of 18 years and their two daughters.  As a stay-at-home mom, Donna never expected God to take her gift of singing to the level of writing, arranging, and producing inspired songs.  Since January 2002, Donna has written over 40 songs and choruses, recorded three CDs, and ministered in several revivals and ladies retreats.

   Donna’s ministry brings a heart warming and encouraging message that ministers to the young and the young at heart

Born – in Nashville, Tennessee on March 11, 1964 Favorite childhood memory – Walking down a dirt road home from school and making up songs with my sister Scariest childhood memory – A bat flew in our house while living in Dickson, TN and we couldn’t find him.  I was in the bathroom when I discovered him hanging upside down in the bathroom window. Favorite food – Homemade, fresh out of the oven, chocolate chip cookies First musical debut – Singing “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” at Red Bug Elementary School. Fun musical fact – I took piano lessons from a teacher whose name was Davy Crockett! Another fun musical fact – I also took piano lessons from a teacher who also ran a funeral home….the studio was the floor above the casket room! Lesson I recently learned – You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!......at 40 I made recorded my first CD and I started jogging three miles a night! Favorite Bible verse – “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” Prov. 11:25 (b)  Favorite way to relax – Laying out by the pool reading a big thick book!
